My Story

A Bangalore girl with Palakkad roots and a Jharkhand home.

I was born and brought up in Bangalore, in a Malayali family from Palakkad. I married into a North Indian family from Jharkhand, and our home today is a blend of both worlds: the festivals, the food and the five languages I speak every day.

I studied engineering at VTU and spent twelve years in the IT sector. It gave me discipline, structure and a habit of looking at problems analytically. But somewhere along the way I realised the work I wanted to do most was building something of my own.

So I made the hardest decision of my career: I left a stable job to become an entrepreneur. As a mother of two, that wasn't a leap I took lightly. It was a leap I took on purpose.

Srika began with two things: my analysis of how sharply gold prices were rising, and my own love of dressing up in gold jewellery. Like many women, I rarely had the budget to wear what I wanted for the occasions that mattered.

That gap became the idea. With beautifully designed imitation jewellery at honest prices, every woman can feel complete and stylish at weddings, festivals and family celebrations, without stretching the household budget.

Back in 2018 I ran a pilot selling apparel on Amazon. It was only meant as an experiment, and it worked very well. It proved to me early on that I could read a market, find a product and sell it.

I want my journey to be proof for women who dream of independence, success and a better life for their families, and especially their children. You don't need permission or the perfect background to start. You need persistence.
